About

Hi! I’m Brian Romanko. I currently live in Austin, TX with my amazing wife and super-sweet dog. I’m a Technical Architect with frog design, one of the most respected design consultancies on the planet. At frog I have the privilege of experimenting with myriad technologies to craft elegant solutions for challenging problems. I can’t say that it’s easy but it is darn fulfilling.

Prior to frog I spent almost 10 years doing a variety of software jobs. I’ve been an architect, evangelist, mentor, product manager, instructor, designer and code-monkey. In 2002, when Microsoft released the first version of the .NET framework, I shifted all of my professional focus to opportunities centered around the technology. While my most recent work doesn’t always allow me to work in this space, I’ll always have a soft-spot in my heart for all things C#.

From an education perspective, I attended the Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated with a BS in Information Technology. I entered this program with an intense insistence that I didn’t want to be a programmer. However, I knew software was in my blood - low and behold I learned to love software development. I’m now attending the evening MBA program at the University of Texas. Come December, I may actually have some semblance of a social life back.
